For once my media induced crush is on an actual lesbian. I’m not entirely sure how to act but suffice it to say that I would think Rachel Maddow was the bomb even if she was happily married to a man and had popped out a dozen kids if she was still calling out politicians that way she called out Sarah Palin’s “mendacious prevarication.”

Mendacious prevarication is an utterly wonderful phrase. I had never heard of Rachel Maddow until I read a piece on her in the Guardian the other day but I must say that she is all kinds of kick-ass.

I hadn’t seen her full show until this evening, when I was channel surfing in my hotel. “Rachel the mystified” is hilarious in her ad libbing and sorting out the twisted logic of the election.

I, too, have a media-induced crush on her.
