I must say at this juncture that I’m not a fan of the Chicago Manual of Style. Punctuation is difficult enough for most people with out obscure explanations.
This is not to say that I’m a huge fan of The Associated Press Stylebook either. Finding stuff is just a lot easier in the AP book. Now, if my Oxford Style Guide ever arrives…
Rather fitting that this would be the 100th entry of someone as obsessed with language as I am. 😉
There’s been a lot of press lately for a little book called Eats, Shoots & Leaves. Though it wasn’t Americanized at all for publication on this side of the big blue, it’s definitely worth a read.
